- The broad protest movement of the masses against the dictatorial regime of Iran must be expanded and organised through progressive and national slogans, towards the developing of a united action of various social strata; from the workers and working people to the militant youth, student and women.
- The Tudeh Party of Iran strongly condemns the brutal suppression of the popular protests by the repressive forces of the regime.
- The Tudeh Party of Iran, its membership and sympathisers fight alongside the militant people of Iran to abolish tyranny and establish freedom, peace, sovereignty and social justice.
- The Iranian regime intends to violently drag down the protest movement of the masses and brutally suppress it, just as in 2009
The politico-economic crisis of the bankrupt theocratic regime of Iran is growing and deepening daily. The impact of this crisis can be observed in the internal regime conflicts and the unprecedented revelations of infighting between powerful factions - revealing the depth of corruption and oppression that prevails in the so-called “exemplary system of the world”.
As had been expected for months, Donald Trump, the US President, announced in a speech on Friday 13 October his administration’s new strategic approach towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. Although Donald Trump was expected to address the issue of Iran's compliance under the JCPOA nuclear deal - that was signed between Iran and the 5+1 countries in July 2015 - his words in fact comprehensively redefined the new strategy of the United States in terms of its future of relations with Iran, the balance of power in the Middle East, as well as how the United States will interact with the world including its European allies.
The Tudeh Party of Iran believes that global peace hinges on the efforts of all peace-loving and progressive forces across the world to work for the resolution of all conflicts and disputes through negotiation and within the framework of the UN Charter.
The first speech of US President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday September 19, 2017, exhibited to the world’s public the deeply reactionary, interventionist, and warmongering nature of the US administration, and the grave risks that thus threaten world peace.
We condemn this attack on defenceless workers seeking their rights!
According to reports and footage published and verified, on Tuesday 19th of September employees of the Hepco Company - specialising in the production of heavy equipment and road building machinery - and Azarab Industries Company - specialising in the construction of power stations and refineries - both operating from the city of Arak in central Iran, were attacked by security forces and a special anti-riot police unit during their protest march in the city. The workers of the Hepco and Azarab factories have not received wages for months and no individual or organ has been held accountable for this. The workers of these two major workplaces are owed at least six months’ worth of wages and other work related benefits.
The Tudeh Party of Iran demands the immediate and unconditional release of all imprisoned militant social-political activists, workers, students, and women from the jails of the anti-people theocratic regime in Iran!
“Just solution of the national problem is an unavoidable necessity to protect the territorial integrity of the country”
Editorial article of Nameh Mardom, The Central Organ of the Tudeh Party of Iran - No. 1029, published on 10 July 2017
After Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia on 20 May 2017, the Persian Gulf and the Middle East is once again witnessing the escalation of tensions that could further destabilise the safety and security of the region and have dangerous and destructive consequences for our country.
As reported by the mass media, about 10:30am local time today in Iran, in a concurrent terrorist act, the area around Khomeini’s tomb near Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra cemetery and the parliament building in the centre of Tehran were attacked. The statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs about the terrorist event today reads: “Today, two terrorist teams simultaneously attacked the outskirts of the Late Imam’s tomb and the administration building of the Islamic Majlis [parliament] and tried to disrupt the security of the country by such blind terrorist acts.”

“It is not the job of the freedom-loving and popular forces to urge the people to concede to the inevitable fate of living under the despotic theocratic regime of Iran and support its preservation.”
According to reports currently circulating, as a result of a massive explosion deep within a coal mine in Golestan province, northern Iran, a large number of miners have been killed and others trapped and concerns are growing for their safety. So far, the death of 35 miners has been confirmed and 21 bodies have been recovered. Most of these miners have perished due to lack of oxygen.
